OUR COMMITMENTS

Building ventures together.
Sharing the power to act.

BAYARD GLOBAL's development rests on a conviction: those who contribute to the company's success should be able to help shape its direction.

OUR COOPERATIVE MODEL

The collective interest
at the heart of the company.

Most of our subsidiaries are established as SCICs — collective-interest cooperative companies. This choice reflects our commitment to an economy that combines performance, social benefit and democratic participation.

Illustration of a group discussion and skills transfer

A company driven by multiple stakeholders.

A SCIC brings together several categories of members around an economic project with a social purpose: employees, beneficiaries of the activity and other contributors, such as partners or local stakeholders. This structure allows skills and expectations to come together within a single company.

The cooperative project gives the activity a shared purpose. It connects the organisation’s economic strength with the quality of the service delivered and its value to the community.

DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE

One person, one vote.

Each member has one vote at the general meeting or within their voting group. The articles of association may organise and weight several groups to balance stakeholder representation. The amount invested does not, on its own, determine decision-making power.

Employees who become cooperative members therefore participate in collective decisions and the appointment of governing bodies, in accordance with their cooperative's articles of association. Employee status and membership are distinct: membership grants these voting rights.

THE ROLE OF EMPLOYEES

Contribute to the project.
Help shape our direction.

We want participation to build trust, commitment and responsibility. A meaningful voice is informed, heard and connected to decisions.

01 / COMMITMENT

Recognising expertise on the ground

Teams understand beneficiaries’ needs, professional constraints and opportunities for improvement. Their participation in governance brings this experience into the decisions that set the direction. We advocate a company in which the voices of those who keep it running help shape its future.

02 / COMMITMENT

Building shared decisions

Bringing together different perspectives helps assess the consequences of a decision: service quality, working conditions, economic balance and local needs. Cooperative debate gives these issues a place in the same discussion and encourages shared responsibility.

03 / COMMITMENT

Investing for the long term

Developing an activity requires resources, skills and continuity. The indivisible reserves of SCIC cooperatives strengthen collective assets in support of the project. Our ambition is to support equipment, training and service quality, with a vision that extends beyond immediate results.

04 / COMMITMENT

Root value in local territories

Successful cooperation relies on local stakeholders. Employees, beneficiaries and partners can work together to develop services suited to actual use. This proximity reinforces our commitment to developing useful, accessible activities that can evolve with their environment.

ACROSS BAYARD GLOBAL

Employees' voices in choosing the president.

The group and its board of directors take into account the preference expressed by employees during the election of the group's president. This collective expression helps inform the choice of leadership and connect the group's direction with the expectations of its teams.

This approach gives employee participation a concrete role: their views inform the board’s deliberations without replacing the powers of the bodies responsible for elections. It complements the democratic life of the cooperative subsidiaries while respecting the group’s governance rules.

We advocate leadership that listens to teams, can explain its direction and is accountable for its actions. The aim is to bring strategy closer to experience on the ground, while maintaining clear responsibilities and the ability to make decisions.

Success is built together.

For BAYARD GLOBAL, the cooperative model expresses a way of doing business: recognising contributions, organising dialogue, consolidating activities and creating value over the long term. Our commitment is to grow projects alongside the people behind them and the territories they serve.
